How to List Your Home on CentralWI By Owner
Wednesday, July 11th, 2007Listing your home with us is designed to be simple and straight forward. In todays post I will explain the process you’ll go through to list on CentralWI By Owner from start to finish.
- Click the “List now…” button on the homepage. This takes you to a page where you have the option of either completing your listing online or offline. The offline listing will entail completing the Property Registration Form and writing a check for the services you wish to use.
- Read What’s Included In Your Listing. This page describes everything that is included in your listing including signs, pictures, WI real estate forms and more. Two points I want to specifically mention are the unlimited real time changes to your listing (#10) and the spam protected email (#13). Unlimited real time changes means you are able to make changes to your listing without the need for assistance from me. This makes it really simple to change pictures, update your description or anything else you feel will help you sell your home. Spam protected email means your email address will never appear on the website, or in any correspondence initiated by someone using CentralWI By Owner. Keeping your email private means you will not receive one spam message as a consequence of listing here. Many other FSBO websites do not give you these options, but I feel these are very important in creating a smooth and positive experience when listing here.
- After reading What’s Included… click continue and it takes you to the Service Agreement. Read through and click continue.
- Now you are at the New User Registration page. Create a username and password as well as enter the email address you want to use. Your username and password will be used to login and make changes to your listing.
- Now you start to create your listing. Simply enter the information the boxes ask for. The first two pages deal with your contact information, i.e. name, address, phone number.
- On the following page you choose the services you would like to purchase. You can see the services offered here. After you choose the services you can pay by either check or credit card. You can trust that paying by credit card is secure. Other FSBO websites do not allow you to pay with a credit card, but I believe people are more comfortable using a credit card, so I’ve included it.
- Next, you start to enter your homes specific information. You’ll write a description (which can be as long as you want), create the property description which are the rooms dimensions, and then enter the features your home includes (examples are type of home, siding, if you have a basement and any other amenity a buyer should know about).
- After that you’re all done! You’ll receive an email confirmation about your listing as well as a receipt for your purchase. After you’re done it’s my turn; the first two steps on my part are making your listing active and sending your phone number to Noffke Company where they will create your phone number which will be added to your yard sign. This gives the yard sign the look that it was custom made for your yard. A custom sign looks more professional than hand writing a number on a sign. Once I receive your phone number I’ll put them on the sign and I’ll deliver and install the sign in your yard.
After your home sells, let me know and I’ll install the SOLD sign and I’ll pick the signs up shortly before the closing date.
